Here’s what we’re tracking this week:

📈 What’s Up?: Prices are trending higher on key items like blueberries, asparagus, shishito peppers, and Brussels sprouts due to limited supply from Mexico, regional transitions, freight increases, and tariff speculation.

📉 What’s Down?: Prices are easing on items like yellow zucchini, limes, Napa cabbage, and Roma tomatoes as improved supply from Mexico and new regional harvests increase availability and stabilize the market.

🥬 New & Newsworthy: Haven Greens spring mix is now in stock—grown close to home and priced to please. Lettuce just say...it’s kind of a big deal. Code 11172 to order.

🥕 Upcoming Holiday Notice: Bondi will be closed on Friday, April 18th for Good Friday. Regular business and deliveries will resume on Saturday, April 19th. Please plan your orders accordingly — thank you!

Market Recap: What's Up, What's Down

📈Price Increases📈

These items are experiencing a price surge this week:

  • BLUEBERRY - Limited supply from Mexico is driving prices higher.

  • CORN - Due to recent cold weather in Florida, crop growth had slowed — impacting availability and pricing. However, conditions are improving, and we’re expecting prices to stabilize in the next week or so.

  • SHISHITO PEPPERS - Limited supply out of Mexico continues to drive prices up, while Florida pricing is gradually catching up as volumes improve.

  • GREEN BEANS - With Mexico winding down, we're shifting to U.S. product — subject to import tariffs and entering a historically high-demand season.

  • ASPARAGUS - Supply out of Mexico is tightening, leading to upward pressure on pricing for asparagus as we wait for the local season to start.

  • ASPARAGUS SEA BEANS - Freight increases have resulted in price increases this week.

  • BRUSSELS SPROUTS - We’re currently transitioning growing regions from the Southern District to Northern California. Volume remains limited for the next couple of weeks, and elevated pricing is expected during this period.

  • RADICCHIO - Due to a supply gap in California, we're importing radicchio directly from Italy for the next 2–3 weeks to maintain availability, resulting in a price increase.

  • TARO ROOT - Tight market due to quality and speculation about tariffs.

📉Price Drops📉

These items have dropped in price this week:

  • YELLOW ZUCCHINI - The Mexican crop from a new growing region has started off strong, leading to downward pressure on pricing.

  • GAILAN - Quality and supply have improved on Mexican product, leading to more stable availability.

  • NAPA CABBAGE - West Coast Napa production has begun, helping to ease pricing pressure in the market.

  • LIMES - The new harvest out of Mexico’s Gulf region is starting with strong volumes, contributing to the recent drop in pricing. However, the market is expected to remain elevated a bit longer due to tariffs.

  • ROMA TOMATOES - Mexican Roma supply remains strong, keeping prices low and stable.
