THIS HEATWAVE ISN'T THE ONLY THING COMING IN HOT...

Weekly Market Report for June 23rd

Welcome to this week’s Market Report—your update on what’s hot (besides this truly unhinged heat). Consider this your sign to step into the walk-in, cool off, and knock out your next order while pretending it’s not 40°C in your kitchen.

Canada Day and Pride weekend are coming up fast—and we know your kitchens are about to feel it. We’ve got your back with the latest on price bumps, product updates, fresh arrivals, and what’s about to disappear, so you’re prepped and ready for two of the busiest celebrations of the summer.

Now, hydrate, curse the humidity, and let’s get into it…

📈 What’s Up? Garlic, asparagus, Campari tomatoes, and red grapes are all trending up this week—blame seasonal gaps, tight supply, and heat hitting production.

📉 What’s Down? Cauliflower, cilantro, poblanos, and green beans are seeing price relief thanks to better weather, local harvests, and early new crops.

🌟 New Arrivals & Local Spotlight: Local zucchini and Cookstown rainbow cherry tomatoes are here!

☀️On the Horizon: Keep an eye out for local favas, gooseberries, pattypan squash, cherries, and baby bunched beets and carrots in the weeks ahead.

❌ Delisted/Leaving Soon: Last call for Welsh Bros asparagus! Their last shipment has hit our warehouse. Blood oranges and agretti are also done for the season.

🟥 Red Flags: Several items ran short this week due to high demand, delays, and seasonal transitions. Full breakdown below.
