This Earth Day, we’re especially tuned into the shifts of the season—and the role we all play in sourcing and serving more thoughtfully.
Let’s get into what’s fresh, what’s flying, and what you’ll want to lock in before it’s gone.
Here’s what we’ve got for you this week…
📈 What’s Up?: Prices are up this week on asparagus, dragon fruit, taro root, red seedless grapes, fennel pollen and limes—driven by tight supply, weather challenges, and seasonal transitions across key growing regions.
📉 What’s Down?: Prices are trending down this week on white asparagus, gailan, corn, Napa cabbage, select tomatoes, and green peppers, thanks to improved availability and increased harvests across Florida, Georgia, Mexico, and the Netherlands.
🌟 New Arrivals: Ramps and fiddleheads are landing this week—fresh, wild, and only around for a short window. Also arriving: Italian summer truffles, and beautiful French Mousseron and Chanterelle mushrooms. Spring’s finest, all in one place.
☀️ On the Horizon: Local asparagus is just a few weeks out! Growers are estimating first harvests between May 5-10.
🌎️ Our Earth Day Pledge: At Bondi, Earth Day is a reminder of our commitment to doing better—for the planet, our partners, and future generations—one thoughtful step at a time. Learn more about what we’re doing and where we’re headed.

🌟 New Arrivals!🌟
Ramps and fiddleheads are arriving tomorrow—and they’re not sticking around for too long.
Ramps bring that sharp, garlicky hit that’s perfect charred on the grill, blitzed into a pesto, or folded into compound butter. Fiddleheads? Blanch, sear, and hit with lemon and salt. Done right, they’re spring on a plate.

🚩Red Flags🚩: Last Week's Supply & Quality Recap
Fennel Pollen (8716) - Delays on California shipments have forced us to source Italian product from an alternate vendor, resulting in significantly higher pricing.
Asparagus (2093) - Weather challenges in Mexico and tight supply led to a shortage in asparagus last week. We’re now back on track, with local product expected to arrive in the next two weeks to bring further relief.
Morels - Morels are gapping due to transport delays from China, with poor quality on arrival—likely tied to ongoing trade slowdowns. If listed on the app, it’s good to order. BC morels should start early May with better supply ahead.
Arugula *Roots Revival* (5172) - Demand continues to outpace supply, but conditions are expected to improve in the coming weeks.
Vegan Mayonnaise (5503) - Vegan mayonnaise is delayed due to transport issues from the U.S that have lasted a few weeks. It is now in stock and available to order.
Pompom Mushrooms (5158) - Weather fluctuations are impacting grow room conditions, making temperature control challenging and slowing overall growth—resulting in limited supply.
Buttermilk (6072) - Unexpected manufacturer shortage with no prior notice—expected to be back in stock by Tuesday!
Burratini (6863) - Manufacturer delays due to a surge in market demand are causing a temporary shortage of burratini.
Chunky Supreme Granola (8516) - Increased demand combined with production delays has led to a temporary shortage of granola. We’re working to restock as soon as possible.
Dragon Fruit - Frozen (8471) - We’re experiencing a short 2-week gap on frozen dragon fruit due to delayed containers. More inventory is expected to arrive by the end of this week or early next week.
Valencia Orange (2919) - We're currently experiencing a shortage of Valencia oranges due to delayed containers. More inventory is expected soon.
🤍Produce Pick of The Week 🤍
White AAA Asparagus (Code 2477)
A true spring delicacy, white asparagus is in season—and it’s looking exceptional. Grown underground to preserve its signature pale colour and delicate flavour, it’s prized for its subtle sweetness, tender texture, and clean, earthy finish.
The season is short, the window is narrow, and when it’s gone…it’s gone. The good news? Harvests are picking up in the Netherlands and pricing just dropped—so now’s the time to get it on the menu.
Poach it, butter-baste it, or go full classic with hollandaise and cured ham. However you plate it, this ingredient does the heavy lifting. Just don’t wait too long—it’s a limited-time spring fling.
![]() | Pro Tip: Unlike its green counterpart, white asparagus requires a bit of extra prep—each spear should be peeled to remove the fibrous outer layer, revealing that tender interior chefs love. It holds up beautifully to gentle cooking methods and brings an elevated, almost nostalgic touch to spring menus. |
