Welcome to the Bondi weekly Market Report, your go-to for all the highs & lows of the week! With February coming to a close and Spring produce nearly here, we’re just a few more gloomy days away from patio season. WE GOT THIS.
Before we dive into price changes and crop updates, remember that the Provincial Election is this Thursday—so get out and vote! Your vote is just as important as staying on top of this week’s market highs and lows.
Now, here's a preview of what we've got lined up for the week:
📈 What’s Up?: We're seeing price increases in red, gold, and striped beets, Cara Cara oranges, red Swiss chard, and coloured bell peppers.
📉 What’s Down?: Sea asparagus, blackberries, mini cucumbers, strawberries, heirloom tomatoes, and Kumato tomatoes are all seeing price drops this week.
🌟 Save the Date! Bondi will be at the RC Show bigger & better than ever! Come visit us April 7-9th at Booth 3013.
🍄Portobellos=Slow Growth: Portobello mushrooms seem to share our distaste for the cold. Last week’s chilly conditions slowed their growth, resulting in shorts last week with lower-than-usual yields.
🥖35% Whipping Cream: It’s back. After a production delay and increased demand resulted in some shorts last week, we’re back in stock.
🧀 Ashley Taleggio Locale: After a manufacturer delay last week, we’re expecting Taleggio back in stock today.

🚩Red Flags🚩: Last Week's Supply & Quality Recap
Avocado (2105) - Last week, we encountered some quality issues with our avocados. With a tight supply and strong demand, prices remain high and are expected to stay elevated for the next few weeks—possibly even into mid-spring.
Caulini (7341) - We’re continuing to see low supply in the market which resulted in shorts last week. Caulini is back in stock now.
Ashley Taleggio Locale (8697) - Manufacturer delay has resulted in a gap in availability last week. We are expecting this to be back in stock today.
Whip Cream, 35% (6073 & 6830) - A production delay last week coupled with increased demand led to some shortages of our 35% whipping cream. Our stock is now replenished.
Portobello Mushrooms (2782) - Recent cold weather has slowed portobello mushroom growth, leading to noticeably lower yields.
