📈Price Increases📈

These items are experiencing a price surge this week:

  • MOUNTAINOAK CHEESES - You'll notice periodic price changes on our ¼ wheels from Mountainoak. We order whole wheels, and their weights can vary. Typically, ¼ wheel pieces are around 2.5 kg, but if the wheel is larger, all four pieces increase in size and price due to catch weight.

  • LIME (code 2720) - Droughts in growing regions causing gap in production. Limited product crossing the border means price increase.

  • TOMATO ROLLED 6/6 & 5/6 - Transition from Maryland & Virginia tomatoes down to Tennessee growers. Price will stay elevated for a few weeks.

  • GREEN ONIONS (code 2860) - Mexican crops continue to struggle due to excessive heat.

  • TOMATO CLUSTER 4/5 (code 7382) - Greenhouse production is at its lowest point of the year, so you can expect prices to remain high this month.

📉Price Drops📉

These items have dropped in price this week:

  • BLACKBERRIES (code 2191) & RASPBERRY (code 3227) - The picking yields in the United States have started to rise this season, leading to a noticeable decrease in prices. This increase in yield has contributed to a greater supply so no shortages expected!

  • AVOCADO "BIG BOX" & “GREEN” - We got a good deal on the product this week, resulting in a price drop!

  • LEEK (code 2617) - We have started local ONTARIO crop for the season resulting in lower prices

  • CHAYTOE (code 2325) - Supply is slowly returning to normal after a prolonged period of shortages.

  • SQUASH BUTTERCUP (KABOCHA) (code 3316) - We have started local ONTARIO crop for the season.

Red Flags – Get the scoop on shortages

Short Ship Sparks Notes

  • Edible Flowers from Fresh Origins - Experiencing seasonal issues due to extreme heat and an increase in seasonal demand. We are bringing in extra shipments to facilitate shortages from the vendor.

  • Pomegranate - Looks like we got our hands on a shipment coming from Turkey and they are expected to be available again by early next week.

  • Potatoes - We are officially moving into new crop Yukons, Bakers & White potatoes. Next week we will be moving into new crop Burbanks as well.

  • Asparagus - The market is back on track and stable. The quality is excellent on the new Mexican product coming in.

  • Conestoga Eggs - The producer is short on BROWN conestoga’s so we are moving to WHITE for the next ~2 weeks.

  • Mushrooms Cremini #2 & Button - We've been experiencing some shortages because of the recent boost in sales and the farm's efforts to prioritize where they see the most demand. But good news – it looks like everything is getting back on track this week!

  • Living Earth Microgreens - Shortages caused by consistant heat. Restocking this week on Tuesday so everything will be back in stock for Wednesday deliveries.

  • Valencia Oranges & Navel Oranges - The gap continues for Valencias; we anticipate one more week of shortages. We are monitoring quality across the board and don’t expect any issues this week with navels!

  • Green Beans- The quality issues from last week should be resolved this week.

  • Dill weed - We had a bit of a shortage on Sunday and Monday because the rain affected the crops in Quebec and Ontario. But no worries, everything is running smoothly now.
