Potatoes getting pricier!

Premium Yukon’s and red creamer "C" potatoes experienced a slight price increase this week, primarily due to the ongoing transition to Florida-grown potatoes. This shift in sourcing has led to adjustments in the market, and as a result, consumers can expect these elevated prices to persist for the next few weeks.

Price Drops

These items that have dropped in price this week:

• LETTUCE ICEBERG & LETTUCE ROMAINE- Increased supply with local products taking relief off of USA-imported products.

• ZUCCHINI GREEN FANCY & ZUCCHINI YELLOW - The local product has started, so the supply is gradually increasing.

• PEPPER SHISHITO

• GRAPE GREEN SEEDLESS

Barbet - Toronto based beverage company!

With non-alcoholic drinks becoming very popular, we decided in March to team up with Barbet! Zero-alcohol beverages often lack the sparkle their alcoholic counterparts have, and Barbet is here to bring that magic back, allowing your guests to enjoy a fizzy drink without alcohol and without sticking out. Ironically, we’ve noticed most of our customers are bringing these on as a booster for cocktail programs, boozy or non-boozy alike. With flavors like cucumber lavender, blood orange jalapeno, and ginger juniper. Want a sample? Ask your rep to add one to your next order!

Arugula back in the green

Last week, we encountered some problems with our arugula shipments. Specifically, the arugula was arriving at our facility and rapidly turning yellow, which does not meet our quality standards. The affected lot has been completely removed from our inventory. We have thoroughly investigated the issue and have taken corrective measures to ensure it does not happen again. If you notice any issues, please notify your representative.

• Fiddleheads - Finished for the season.

Short Ship Sparks Notes

• Watermelon - Quality has been hit or miss. We brought in a new supplier this week, so issues should improve.

• Lime Leaves - Imported product is moving faster than shipments are coming in! If you use this on a regular basis, talk to your rep about a weekly standing order.

• Chives - Poor quality and shelf life on the batch coming in before the weekend. Product has been pulled and the issue resolved.

• Blueberries - Issues due to heavy rain. Moved to Mexican product for better consistency in supply and quality.
