🚩 Bell Pepper Price Increase 🚩

We sent out a notice last Wednesday informing everyone of the sudden mid-week price increase on bell peppers, effective immediately. This significant rise in prices will remain in place for the next few weeks until greenhouse supplies improve and local production catches up.

📈Price Increases this week 📈

These items are experiencing a surge in price this week:

• Broccoli Increase - Prices will increase this week as we transition to local products. Expect a price hike for a few weeks during this period.

• Jumbo Carrots - Will see elevated/peak pricing on Mexican crop until local Canadian Carrots start up in 5-6 weeks.

• Green Beans - in transition between regions, local beans should start next week

• Roma Tomatoes - Mexican crop has dried up. Should see elevated pricing for a few weeks

These items have dropped in price this week:

• DILL WEED (code 2418) & CILANTRO (code 2352) - Ontario & Quebec crop beginning results in price drop!

• LETTUCE ICEBERG USA (code 2647)

• LETTUCE LOOSE ROMAINE HEART (code 2687)

• LETTUCE ROMAINE HEART (code 2689)

All Wrapped Up!

These items are finished up for the season. Ask your rep for recommendations on substitutes.

• Ontario Asparagus - The season is winding down! Next week will probably be our last week for local product.

• Cookstown Easter Egg Radish - Unfortunately they crop got hit with some issues so they won’t have any all all for the remainder of the year.

• St. Brigid’s Butter - They are having a gap in production. We will not have any available until July 3rd. If you want to sub in Organic Meadows Unsalted Cultured butter for the next 2 weeks talk to your rep!

Short Ship Sparks Notes

• Arugula - We experienced a sudden increase in sales that caused shortages last week. We have adjusted our inventory levels and do not expect shortages to continue.

• Pineapple - A delay in shipment caused shortages last week.

• Little Gem lettuce - An unexpected shortage from our supplier resulted in significant shortages last week, which are still affecting this week. Artisan Romaine is a great substitute to tide you over!

• Artisan Blend - There were shortages last week, but we are back on track this week. Heritage Blend is a great substitute, as well as the Heirloom mix!

• Welsh Bros Asparagus - As the season comes to an end, we are experiencing shortages from the supplier. We are doing our best to stay ahead of it.

• Heirloom Carrots (peeled) - A delay in shipment caused shortages last week.

• Parsley - Seasonal gap, awaiting on local supply to start
